Do not to come to the piano studio if you have or have had in the past 14 days a cough, a fever, shortness of breath, difficulties breathing, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset, or experienced a loss of taste or smell. You will not be charged for missed lessons due to illness, so do not come if you are ill in any way. If it is obvious that you are ill, you will be asked to leave.
The pianos in the studio are now six feet apart. Maintaining a six foot social distance will be expected inside the studio.
Students will play only on the grand piano, and the teacher will play only on the upright piano. The grand piano keyboard will be cleaned between each student with a 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution.
There is a Blueair 603 whole-room hepa filtration unit in the piano studio, as well as upstairs. The 603 is like the 605 currently offered on Amazon. If you'd like to know more about these filtration units, Amazon has a lot of information.
The waiting room will be open for same-family students only, and cannot be cleaned between each student. Please use the waiting room only when there is no other option available. The Clavinova and all toys, books, and games will not be available for use.
If you bring something into the studio, be sure to take it back out with you. The bathroom will remain open for emergency use only.
Lessons will be scheduled with 15 minute breaks between students for calling in for remote lessons, or keyboard cleaning and creating more separation between students coming and going at the studio. Please wait in your car until your assigned lesson time, do not come in early and stay late.
Hand Sanitizer & Face Masks
Students need to continue to use hand sanitizer before and after each lesson. Please wear a mask to your in-person piano lesson. The teacher will also be wearing a mask. Masks will be provided if you absolutely need one (until I run out!). Please bring your own mask if you have it, they may not always be available. Do not attend your piano lesson if you are sick. You will be asked to leave if you do.
Face masks (when available) will be at the studio entrance, and hand sanitizer will be located at the entrance, waiting room, and at each piano. Let's keep everyone safe and help make it possible to clean adequately between lessons. If you aren't comfortable with the studio safety, please continue or consider remote lessons.
